The Mares Kaila BCD w/SLS Weight System, one of Mares’ flagship models, is purposely designed for a woman’s body to provide both comfort and stability, yet does not sacrifice durability. The Kaila is constructed with Cordura®420 material known for its advanced wear and tear protection.
For increased comfort, air cell slides on shoulders when inflated. 40mm swivel shoulder buckles and an adjustable cummerbund customize the fit. The purposefully designed bladder with a high lift air cell with “Dragon” winglets cradles the scuba tank, reducing drag when underwater. This Fusion Bladder combines the features of both a backmounted and jack style inflation style. High lift capacity, unrestricted movement and a comfortable position on the surface characterize this inflation system.
Mares’ famed SLS (Slide & Lock System) integrated weight system provides a visual confirmation of successful weight pocket insertion. Each weight pocket, with customizable labels, holds: XXS-S:4kg/9lbs - M-L:6kg/13lbs of either hard or soft weight and 8lbs of non-diver releasable weight in the dual trim pockets in the rear.
Mares’ Ergo Inflator is highly efficient with providing intuitive use and a secure grip even when wearing gloves. Accessory attachment is simple, utilizing the 5 stainless steel d-rings and two high capacity cargo pockets with stretch panels. Grommets are included for mounting a dive knife within the Mares Force Knife Collection.
